An excerpt of a 20-minute composition using sounds of toy organs from the 1950s and '60s as source material. This piece grew out of an interest in the proliferation of mass-produced electric toy instruments during this time period. Despite how toy instruments have been marketed to teach children to play music "correctly," the roar of the motor dominates - particularly now, through the effects of age and disrepair. Many of the drone textures in this composition come from broken mechanisms.
